- Named to 3A All-State First Team by GSWA. Honorable mention all state by the Atanta Journal Constitution. Named to the 7A/B-AAA All Region First Team. Participated in the Georgia North-South All Star game. Was set to participate in the Down Under All Star game in Australia.
- Had offers from Auburn, Ole Miss, Arkansas, N.C. State, Toledo and UMASS.
- Did not take an official visit until April 21 of this year.
- Did not need his official to commit to Auburn because the offer was what he was waiting on. Has questionable size to play defensive tackle and could end up at defensive end. Was set to play 1AA until Coach Rocker offered him at Auburn. Rocker was his deciding factor. Many schools were turned off by his test scores.
- Remains at home awaiting confirmation from the NCAA Cl.earinghouse. Says he feels optimistic he will qualify and move to Auburn by August 3rd or 4th.

OK, first obvious question here: Why the heck was he going to play 1AA if all of those other offers were legit?
ReplyDeleteThis is a kid on which we have to trust Coach Rocker's judgement. If Coach Rocker thinks he is good enough to play for AU, then who am I to question him?
