Auburn Offers 2011 QB

Auburn gave pro style quarterback Jeff Driskel his first offer tonight. The Florida quarterback is said to resemble a "Tim Tebow type" quarterback and is a baseball star. The upcoming junior quarterback is a huge Auburn fan but is not ready to commit just yet, according to the Orlando Sentinel. The 6'4", 225 lb. quarterback threw for 1,125 yards and six touchdowns as a sophomore, adding six rushing touchdowns. He has also received interest from Ole Miss, Clemson, Georgia and Florida. He is the second quarterback Auburn has offered for 2011, the other being Kiehl Frazier.

  1. How is Driskel the "pro-style" QB run a faster forty than Frazier the "dual threat" QB?

    Driskel- 4.52
    Frazier- 4.71

  2. Cause he is in a different offense maybe than Frazier? He's more drop back passing? Fraziers 40 seems a little slow but I believe he can run faster than that. ;)

  3. when are we going to get some elite commits from lb's, rb's, and ol???? i have a feeling we are going to be highly disappointed in february - other than michael dyer or lache, i think we'll get one of them. JL

  5. 8:43, Are you sure you are looking at Auburn when talking about the LBs? We already have a great LB class. There is also a 90% chance we will add LO to that class. As far as RBS - give it time. I think we will get LS or MD. Just one elite back and we are set.
One place I agree is on the OL. We need more OL. The signing of AP helped and the current OT commit we have is is very good. Hopefully the OL will come in the future.

  6. Signs point to Grant going to UAT. All premium AU sites seem to think this anyway. We are out of it for Lattimore (right now). LS is between AU and LSU (toss up). Dyer AU leads but ARK is pushing hard.

  7. Why on earth is Grant going to UAT?

  8. I've been pretty impressed so far with our recruiting but at some point some of the bigger names are going to have to commit or this will look like a failure. Also, loosing a 4* recruit in your back yard to your cross state rival is not good. He may not pan out and we may get one of the other backs (that we want more anyways), but it still doesn't look good.
