Correction: Owens To Announce

LaDarius Owens is set to announce on July 31st at 6 PM between Auburn, Alabama, LSU, FSU and Tennessee. It will either take place at his school or the clubhouse of where he lives.

    Beav, what's your view on this? I like AU's chances, but don't like which service says he's announcing.

    BOL didn't "break" the announcement. the message was emailed to all the people covering owens, and they were just the first ones to get it posted.

    If we lose Owens with his ties to Auburn as well as our need for LB's, it's not going to be good. I hope we can get him.

    I think he'll choose Auburn but it will be closer than we think. He's not a lock, but I like our chances.

    Is there anything to worry about concerning Owens? Alot of folks seem to be nervous due to him deciding to announce after he visited Bama. What do you think? Anything you are hearing?

    Hate to say it, but it looks like he is going to bama. He last visited Alabama and BOL was the first and only site to post the news. No Auburn site on Rivals,Scout,AUC has posted anything on it. This will sting if true.

    I've heard to not be worried about him committing anywhere else but Auburn. This is great because it means wrapping up a good LB class for 2010 unless we can get C.J. Mosely as well which doesn't seem out of reach especially since his weekend visit to the Plains.

    What are you talking about? Hurt what situation? Who cares if people say he is going to AU?. Along with others here I too think he is going to Auburn. Most mods on most AU sites think he is going to Auburn. Most of the "insiders" think he is going to Auburn.
    I will choose to not freak out and believe that the kid will choose the O&B. In the end if he does not then so be it but I am not going to worry about it. I would advise you to do the same.

    Most thought Grant was going to Bama. The only reason we had hope was because of all the recent visits and how he would have been an obvious better fit in our offense.
