  2. Well I hope that he loves the AU family as much as I do. If he does then we will be in great shape.

    War Eagle.

  3. Im telling you. We will have the #1 WR class this year. Reed, Goodwin, Richardson, Kitchens and maybe Williams will upgrade at the position immediately. But if we offer DeMarco McNeal then look out, that means we lost on one of our top targets.

  4. Deangelo Benton, Antonio Goodwin, Trovon Reed, Lache Seastrunk, Michael Dyer, Marcus Lattimore...when was the last time we had a shot at recruiting this type of offensive weapon? Benton is already here. Goodwin is a verbal committment. We're in the mix for the rest! Things are changing for the better at AU! WAR EAGLE!

  5. Dont forget Richardson. TE size, WR speed. Best WR in the state.

I dont think we have a shot at Lattimore, anymore. He is FSU bound, imo. He has played football with 2 other kids since grade school. One has already committed to FSU, the other is lookng hard at FSU. Lattimore either goes there or stays in state.

  6. I heard that Deangelo Benton and Trovon Reed know each very well. This could help us out!

  7. When I was with Coach Trooper Taylor earlier this month he spent almost 30 mins of the phone with Trovon Reeds uncle, I am guessing he is Trovon's father figure.

  8. That is pretty good news!! This WR class could be very special indeed.

  10. yea, there was a really nice article about his and her relationship written a few weeks ago. I can't remember where it was written, but it is definitely worth looking up because it is a very inspiring read.

  13. haha.....i'm going to go onto an auburn blog site and comment on the fact they have no chance with a recruit. is that their idea of covert operations to discourage our optimism. I mean there is no way that Anon 7:53 could be a bammer.......why would he post here??? haha juvenile bammers

  15. I actually went to my first non-team site last night. I was rading on the Texas forum. I didnt agree with them entirely about some issues, But i would never talk shit on there site. What a bunch of morons we share this fine state with... If you ever catch me on a bama site, please, end my life slowly.... I really really really am starting to dislike Bammers... I use to have somewhat of a respect for them, since I share the state, but now, I really just hope we kick there ass for 6 more years.

    WDE

  16. Well most Bammer mullets now think that all recruits want to come there. If they don't we find out that Saban didn't so-called actually offer them in the first place. Also Trovon Reed would be considered a "left-over". So how could this Anon poster be a Bammer?

  17. I don't think anyone knows Seastrunk's intentions right now. But it would be very interesting to see him, Rollison, Dyer/Lattimore, and any 2-3 of these receivers all lining up on the same side of the football. And a few linemen of course...

  18. I noticed earlier today that on scout.com, auburn isnt even on lattimore list anymore. is this correct?

  19. Given the way Seastrunk has conducted himself during this recruiting process, I'm wondering why anyone would pretend to know where he will wind up. He reminds me of David Oku last year who eventually wound up at UT. IT's anybody's guess at this point and what started out as a real positive for us has dwindled to a HOPE!

    ReplyDelete
  20. YES WE CAN! HOPE! CHANGE YOU CAN BELIEVE IN!

    ReplyDelete
  21. Nope, I dont want THAT type of change at Auburn. Next thing you know everyone will get equal playing time no matter how good they are.

    ReplyDelete
  22. I totally disagree with Anon @ 8:41am...give Seastrunk a break. You're sitting here whining about the actions of a 17 year old. Yet you've named nothing that he has done wrong.

The kid is a great athlete and has a great GPA, he's never been arrested or in trouble. Just because no one gives you the time of day that's no reason to blast him.

He will pick the school that's right for him and no other school will have any good reason to complain about his decision.

The problem is not with the 17 year old kids, it's with the adults who hang on to their every word in hopes that when they sign they'll feel more superior to fans of another school.

There is a BIG problem with college recruiting, but it's NOT with the kids.

  23. So does anyone have confirmation that Reed is in town?

    ReplyDelete
  24. Ok John Cullen, your post wasnt even directed towards me but it bothers me. We are grown men (most of us), we can say whatever we would like to about whichever recruit we would like to and theres not a thing you or anybody else can do about it because i (like everyone else on here) have a right to my opinion. I respect your opinion and apparently you think that college recruiting is flawed, not by wishy washy recruits or insiders that harass these kids all day every day, but by the fans of the schools that are recruiting them. Bottom line, seastrunk has changed his mind 401,657,951 times and he will change his mind some more. Read carefully, NO ONE LIKES INDECISIVE RECRUITS. It shows lack of character. Should it matter to you what i think? NO.Do i or anybody else on here care what you think? NO. Get off your soap box. :D

  25. *Jasper Cullen. apologies.

    ReplyDelete
  26. How do you know Seastrunk has "changed his mind 401,657,951 times"??? Or that he will change his mind some more? What do you base this on?

I believe you are off base.

A kid taking a visit and liking it doesn't equal changing his mind. Heck, they should have a great time. Something is wrong if a school brings them in and doesn't give them something to think about. I think he is as solid as they come.

  27. ANON 3:40

I wish people like you would not post. If you can't follow recruiting without getting upset you need to get a life. Unless you are in his shoues you have not idea what it is like. Get over yourself. Enjoy the game.

  28. Wasn't this about Trovon Reed? I trust Mr. Luper and Super Trooper baby. We gonna bring this one home!

    ReplyDelete
  29. ANON 9:28.....I thought i already made this clear, i dont care about what you think or what you want.

    ANON 5:36
Im not off base in my opinion, every body that has remotely kept up with his recruiting knows that he changes his mind about everything every day. I dont fault him for having fun, i would too if i were in his shoes, but i wouldnt come to auburn, say "I love it here, this is where im meant to be." tell every other recruit in the nation to come here. talk crap about satan, then go to lsu and do the same thing and etc. etc.

Phillydelic- yes its about Reed.IMO we have a GREAT shot at reed if seastrunk doesnt go to LSU. If he does, we dont have a shot.

    ReplyDelete
  30. I feel like this is probably the situation these guys find themselves in. Seastrunk likes both Auburn and LSU but prefers Auburn. Reed likes both Auburn and LSU but prefers LSU. Dixon visits Auburn and LSU and probably left favoring Auburn as well, which is what led to Reed coming back two weeks after Dixon. I think one thing to really look at too is Reed lives in a die hard LSU town, if there weren't people close to him pushing him to Auburn I think he would have already committed to LSU.

    ReplyDelete
  31. Again, Anon 12:33, you have given NO evidence as to how you know LS has "changed his mind on everything..." (whatever that means) "...on a daily basis"! Where have you seen/read that he has made anywhere near the same comments about LSU that he has about AU? All I've heard is that he's had a good time there and he likes the coaches and players! What's he or any other recruit (Reed included) supposed to say when they visit a school? "That school, the coaches, players, and fans all SUCK!" This is a TOUGH decision (although you seem to not think so)! This will decide what happens to them for the rest of their lives! So what if LS got caught up in the moment at Big Cat and called out Saban. Were you there? Do you know everything he said? I love this kid, even if we lose him to LSU or any other school, I'll wish him well (as I would any 17 y.o. kid who's starting college)! You talk about character, maybe you need to look that word up, then look in the mirror! That's just my opinion... I know you'll say you don't care what I think and that's ok... I'm not the one being called a DICK by everyone on here!

  32. I wanted to put my two cents worth in. I have been following Lache Seastrunk for months. I have never seen him change his mind one time. I also have not seen him say one time, I am definitely going to Auburn, or LSU, or who ever. He is 17, and I think he is making a great decision to explore his options. I personally will be devastated if he does not go to Auburn, but hey, its his choice, so let him choose.

He has said that Auburn is his favorite, and that he feels like family here. He has said that he does also like LSU... So what, I like Outback and Texas Roadhouse. So am I a dumb undecisive 17 yr old now... Of course not, I have probably said one was my favorite, but If one is busy, I will go to the other.

Give the guy a freaking break. He said on rivals that he was growing tired of people saying he is an auburn lock, or lean, or leaning now to LSU... He will make a decision when he feels like it, and besides he has gotten a lot of recruits thinking about Auburn, even if he never plays a down for us, the exposure is great. I read on the Texas Longhorn fan forum, they were giving him hell, talking about him and such, and his Aunt came on there and set them straight. I wouldnt be the least bit surprised if she is not reading this. If you are aunt Jan, then hello and keep this people who dont play football and just talk about it straight.

I once was a big time recruit myself, but not for football. It was hard to decide on what I did, because everyone was my friend and wanted me, as soon as I choose, everyone but the one I choose turned there back on me. I personally am a Seastrunk fan, and will root for him where ever he goes, unless he's playing Auburn.

I am a 2 time graduate from auburn, and I want to show the respect that Auburn alum have.

Lets have a great recruiting class and support our team, new recruits, and new coaches...

    Its football season....WDE

  34. Anon 4:12. I was there. I was visiting my cousin who is very close to the football team in auburn and he said that there would be a ton of recruits at Toomers corner that night. We went. I was there. I was visiting him after serving 2 years in Iraq so you could have the freedom to sit on your computer and measure peckers with me. You dont know what character is. Im done arguing with you, but i dont hold grudges; we disagree but youre an auburn man, im an auburn man. So WAR EAGLE
