Cullen's Plans
John Cullen says Tennessee, Auburn and Utah are still his favorite three schools. Joel Bonomolo's JUCO teammate has set a timeline of his visits. He has already taken an unofficial to Utah, he will take an official visit to Tennessee on October 10th for the Georgia game and will visit Auburn after his season ends. Cullen wants to graduate in December and would have 3 years to play two.

we need him though i wish we would go after bigger name linemen
ReplyDeleteWell the coaches have evaluated him and they see him contributing right away. This dude need to get down to the Plains.
ReplyDeleteIf he waits until the end of the season, we may not have a spot for him since we need to get some on board NOW or as soon as possible.
ReplyDeleteWhat difference does it make if it is now or at the end of the season? If this guy wants to come here and his academics appear in order, I think the coaches will wait for him. Outside of Robinson, he is probably the top O-lineman left on our board.
ReplyDeleteThese coaches are going to have to get creative to get the class of 2010 o-linemen we need to compete in the SEC. This is one area that I have been very disappointed when it comes to our recruiting efforts. There is still plenty of time to put on an all out blitz for some big names, but it needs to happen before February!
ReplyDeleteI agree!

ReplyDeleteI would wager to say that we common lay fans dont have any idea of the efforts that these coaches have put in towards the recruitment of top OL. I find it hard to believe that they would spend so much time recruiting the top RBs, WRs, DLs, etc and just neglect our most obvious need at OL. That said... lets allow them to do their jobs without bashing them. I'm sure they have enough to deal with with our immediate past record, coach's record, and oh that untimely little lawsuit by a former OL about the way he was handled while playing here.
ReplyDeleteWho bashed them? I've read this thread 3 times, and I don't see anyone bashing them.
ReplyDeleteIT appears we have another "controller" who would like to censor anything he doesn't agree with. Sorry, it's a free country and anyone can post anything that concerns them.
ReplyDeleteget yalls panties out of a bunch, i think he was saying we should be behind them in whatever decisions they make instead of criticizing or qeustioning the judgement of a bunch of experienced coaches.
ReplyDeleteSorry, I agree, I've been called a "bammer" for not saying everything is rosey. Let's not be Alabama fans saying everthing is the best and we lost the freaking Sugar bowl.I enjoy honest opinions, good or bad......Not from Bama fans though.
ReplyDeleteI don't know what this Evony games is, but it sure does look fun......If you know what I mean.
ReplyDeleteone thing to keep in mind is that i will guarantee that CGM is recruiting the linemen he needs for his offense, not just their name. If there is a 6'7 340 lb lineman that just won't succeed in his offense, then he won't be recruited. I'm not saying that the ones we get are the only ones that we were going for, but i'm saying that they have seen that the ones we have offered are the ones that have proven that they can succeed in his offense. Now i would say that I would love to see us make a move for Erick Mack because i really like him but i trust our coach's decisions
ReplyDeleteSorry to disappoint, GoCrazy, but Eric Mack has been a solid verbal commitment to SoCarolina for about 3 weeks now! Don't think he changes his mind, even though I agree, I liked him and think we had a shot for a while. He said the main reason for his choice was so he could stay at home to take care of his son. If you need another big name to put on the wishlist, try Damien Robinson. He'll do nicely! WDE!
ReplyDeletei realize he is committed to USC, but that doesn't mean we can't eventually steal him. Its more of a hope than anything else but still a possibility. Anything can happen by NSD
