  1. Wow....This hasn't been a good week for us with the lost players, L James, and losing commits. What's up with the recruiting. We are getting freaking beat out by freaking Vandy!! and this is a Auburn guy. Looks like we're losing ground on Lattimore and many other recruits I read about. I noticed we seem to be turning up the heat on lesser player. Does this mean we are losing the battle for the op guys. I know everyone will rip me this post, but, I'm just honest and don't like the feeling the way things are starting to turn.

  2. AU Undercover said Dudchock did not have an offer.

  3. Dudchock didnt have an AU offer, we dont really need a TE for next years class, but if we take one it will be Dickson. Kids change their mind about schools all the time. Noone is sure what they will do on Feb.4, that's just the way it is. Also i dont think AU gets Lattimore anyway, i think we take Dyer, Grant, Seastrunk, or possibly just 2 of those 3, jmo. Any word on which way Garrison Smith is leaning, Beav?

  4. I see some of what you're saying, I'm going to hold faith for a little longer. If we get through July and don't have a few top name commits, then I may come to the thinking of poster one. I hear they have bigs plans for July, so I'm hoping big commits will be what it consist of. I am concerned that we don't have much momentum with some of the top OL's out there.

  5. I believe at one point he did have an offer, whether it was committable or not I am not sure...

  6. There is no way Dudchock had an Auburn offer. He would have committed on the spot!

Y'all are nuts if you think this staff isn't doing a heck of a job. Mincy is a guy that never would have committed to the old staff. We're doing a whale of a job recruiting and it's only going to get better!

  7. Ziemba,

Auburnundercover.com reports that he had a offer on the table. Be honest with yourself, it's not impossible that everything isn't perfect in Auburn.

  8. Well you have got to consider that we are playing catch up rite now in the state of Alabama, so naturally most of these kids have a better relationship with UA than AU. Now i know there are some that are gonna go to their childhood favorite school no matter what, but if youll look at most schools commits rite now anyway, you will see that 75%+ are in state commits. The big ones we get this year will be out of state and they usually dont commit early on esp to an out of state school. Take away Bama's in state commits and what do they have? Texas? Florida? We will be fine in the end...i say top 10, but you cant not give these coaches props so far, especially like i said having to play catch up. Helluva job, imo.

  9. Ziemba, Mincy is EXACTLY the kind of that would have committed to the old staff, a solid 3* recruit!

Anon, "no excuses! recruit like a champion!" We arent "playing catch up" with bama. This is (or should be) about getting the best fit for AU and our systems regardless of *s.
