Ranking The SEC...Stadiums...

Jeremy Hillman, a columnist for SouthernPigskin.com, has ranked the football stadiums of the SEC. He took size, noise level, aesthetics and home field success into consideration. The ranking are as follows: 1) Florida, 2) Georgia, 3) Tennessee, 4) LSU, 5) Auburn, 6) Alabama, 7) South Carolina, 8) Arkansas, 9) Ole Miss, 10) Kentucky, 11) Vanderbilt and 12) Mississippi State. Link here. I have not been to all 12. What do you think?

  1. Not so fast my friend as Lee would say. LSU has to be 1. GA 2 and AU 3. Never been to Neyland(?) I was at GA game with the "blackout" worst time ive had at a game. I hate that soulja boy song even more because of that game. JHS can get pretty crazy too Florida game when Tre flipped into the endzone. From then on the rest of that game, the stadium was nuts. It was awesome!

  2. I have been to UGA also and was not very impressed. It was UGA-Vanderbilt last year. It could have been because it was UGA-Vandy...

  3. I've been to every SEC stadium, and I would rank them like this:

    1) Florida
    2) LSU
    3) Tennessee (based on intimidating size; noise level is comparable to Auburn)
    4) Auburn
    5) Alabama
    6) Georgia
    7) South Carolina
    8) Arkansas
    9) Kentucky
    10) Ole Miss
    11) Mississippi St
    12) Vandy

LSU is the most intimidating stadium I've been to. Their fans are trash, but holy crap do they get loud!
If Auburn had 100K seats, it would be MUCH louder then Neyland. Neyland gets the nod just because they have more capacity.
UGA has the most overrated stadium/atmosphere in the SEC. All in all, it is a hair above South Carolina in my book.
