Jacobs Drafted
Brandon Jacobs was drafted 318th overall today by the Boston Red Sox in round number ten. Now he will decide if he will stick with Auburn for football or if he will enter the minors. He recently said if he was drafted in rounds seven and up he will likely go. I will let you know when he makes a decision.

Also, Auburn baseball players drafted thus far:
ReplyDelete1st round - 24th - signee Nick Franklin
4th round - 139th - AU catcher Luke Bailey
5th round - 151th - Joseph Sanders
11th round - 324th - JUCO signee Drew Madrigal
Luke Bailey is a signee**
ReplyDeletebeaver do you have any idea if bailey, franklin and madrigal will wear orange and blue next year?
ReplyDeletehave they given any clues what they might do in regards to draft position?
Franklin is gone, he's not going to turn down 1st round money.
ReplyDeleteBailey was considered to be signable if he got something like late-first round money. We lucked out though as Tampa has drafted a few guys who will need to be signed over-slot so he could still end up at Auburn if they fail to meet his demands.
Another signee, Garrett Bush, went in the 15th round to the Orioles. But yeah I am almost positive he will pick the Majors. However, Hunter Morris was originally drafted in the second round out of high school and still showed up at Auburn...
