Sorry For The Delay, Five Star Close
Five star running back Michael Dyer is very close to committing, it appears. He visited Auburn this weekend, staying until today. He says Auburn is his number one and has been for some time. He will make his decision sometime this summer. He also said his visit to Auburn this weekend will be his last visit. Big news for Auburn. He called the visit perfect. I had this information before I went to class but I was also hearing he may have committed so I held off. Note that he has not committed but right now it looks good for us. WDE.

Great news! We have some recruiting madmen on the Plains!!!! Take that Bammers!
ReplyDeleteGreat news but I do not know what this does for Seastrunk if Dyer does commit. Some honestly think that Dyer is the number one back in the country though. Hopefully we can get two of the three.
ReplyDeleteWell if Dyer commits then I would believe it would be Lattimore that may look elsewhere. I just have a hard time believing that Seastrunk will go anywhere else with the close relationship that he has with Luper. Seastrunk could be used as a Percy Harvin type player in Malzahn's offense rather than a main back in my opinion to carry the load like Dyer would.
ReplyDeleteI agree with Phillydelic. Seastrunk seems more like a WR to me than a RB. I am one of those believers that thinks Dyer is the best back in the country. If he was two inches taller, he would probably have gotten that rating. He has excellent speed, vision, strength, break tackle ability, and seems like a great kid. I havent seen Lattimore do anything in his videos that makes me say "wow". Yet, every play I see Dyer run I say "wow"
ReplyDeleteyou can compare all three of them here:

both seastrunk and dyer are speed backs
i think we need to make sure we get lattimore and one of the others because he is the power back. You need both to confuse the defense
To the last comment. Watch more on Dyer. He is all around amazing. Lattimore is last on my RB list IMO. Auburn has yet to use Eric Smith, who has more than enough power, and played in one of the toughest divisions in the country. Dyer, Grant, Seastrunk, Lattimore is my order of importance on RB's. The thing before that is getting the linemen (like hopeful commit Eric Mack). The game starts at the lines!
