Catch Up

  • Hey guys...took the weekend off. I will usually try and post a couple of things a day but just didn't today.
  • Jeffrey Whitaker plans to visit July 18th. I've heard rumors that the next big recruiting event could either come this weekend or that weekend (of the 18th). He has no top schools but Tracy Rocker is helping us stay high on his board.
  • It appears that Tim Jackson will want to go to Auburn for one of his official visits.
  • 2009 UNC signee and old Auburn target Johnnie Farms did not qualify and will go to Hargrave Military. This could end up as good news for Auburn. The new staff hardly got to recruit Farms and we were still one of his top teams. Maybe the staff can try and steal him.
  • Marcus Lattimore says he has no favorite and he wants to take all five of his official visits.
  • DeMarco Cobbs says he is leaning toward USC right now. He wants to trim his top 10 down to a top 5 soon.
  • Arkansas dismissed second string linebacker Khiry Battle after a weekend of drunk driving. I cannot see this affecting us really but just thought I would add that.
  • Roy Finch has committed to Oklahoma.
  • Jay Tate says as far as he knows, Cameron Henderson and Philip Pierre-Louis are in good standing with the team.
  • More a little later on.

  3. a bammer friend of mine just asked if i had heard anything about Fannin and Burns not making grades. that was the first i've heard about it. does this rumor have any legs?

none of the beat writers are saying anything about it

  4. Just a Bammer rumor, nothing more. Someone told me they had a class with Fannin and they thought he got an A so I would think he is in pretty good standing and that is the first I have heard of any problems with Burns.

  5. Yeah I've heard many different rumors regarding Fannin but as of right now that is all they are...rumors...I would not be too worried as of everything I know right now...

  9. yea somebody posted that rumor on wareagleauburn.com and everyone is saying the same thing, that it is highly unlikely. as far as i know it is just bammers trying to get us nervous about our team while there is so much excitement building

  10. hey, this is random but clint mosley will be #10 and he told me that him and tyrik were a long way from starting.

just thought i would pass it on

    WDE!

  11. If Clint Mosely said that he had Tyrik were a "long way from starting", I have a feeling that Clint will never start. Even if that's true, a QB should never admit that...

  12. If Clint has a warm body, then he's should be pretty close....Have you seen our QB's?

If Tyrik is half the talent they say he is, then he should be a serious contender for the spot. Roll with Rollison baby!

  13. they are probably a long way from starting because they have been learning the offense for about 1 week......give them some time

  14. Beaver,

i have been reading your blog for several months now. it has become the first one i check in the morning and the last one i check at night. i appreciate the hard work. keep it up.

i think there is no way Fannin didn't make the grades after being told he will be such an important piece in this offense. can't wait to see him rattle some heads.
