A Couple of Notes

  • Auburn target Ryan Ayers has been named to the Under Armour All-American Game.  ESPN.com says Georgia Tech is the team to beat.
  • Gibbs High School (St. Petersburg, FL) defensive end Tim Jackson has put Auburn at the top of his list.
  • Curtis Luper commented on the SEC limit of 28 signees per class.  He said:
"The NCAA has standards and parameters that we operate within, and the SEC has standards that are sometimes more stringent, and for good reason," Auburn recruiting coordinator/running backs coach Curtis Luper said. "The cap on signees is good because it prevents oversigning, and keeps us all on a level playing field. It's a definite plus and a good thing for the SEC."

  1. What the hell!? I am proud of our coaches getting after it, but can we not go after a top player besides d linemen. We should be at least on every o linmen's radar if not top of their list. I mean, I know they are, it just seems every headline is about a defensive end. War Eagle! I am confident they will do it, I just wish they would do it now.
