- Solomon Patton will commit to Florida next week. He has shown minimal interest in Auburn of late and Auburn had stopped recruiting him all together.

Thats pretty interesting that AU stopped recruiting him. I heard that he grew up an Auburn fan. Beaver you have any insight into why that relationship faded?

ReplyDeleteKeep in mind that we signed 3 players that are Patton clones last year (LaVoyd James, Stallworth, and Anthony Gulley)...I think we're definitely in the hunt this year for Corey Grant of the Opie, which is also in the same mold.

Dang right we don't want thugz on our squad....Luper is a recruiting guru and wants to get guys down to Auburn not just with athletic talent but also character.
ReplyDeleteYeah I am pretty sure it was either Patton or Ambles who we stopped recruiting because of character issues. I believe we have stopped recruiting both, however.
