- Tyrone Cornileus was planning on announcing a decision between Miami and Georgia Tech today. He has now delayed a decision and does not know when he will commit. He will look at other schools.
- Wes Rea is on campus visiting today. That's all I have on that point right now.
- I will try to have a list of visitors for this weekend up early next week. Lache Seastrunk is one among many that will be on the Plains. Auburn is having their one day senior mini camp and also hosting multiple unofficial visitors. This is likely the "Stars and Stripes Weekend". Trovon Reed will not be attending due to a fundraiser his sister is holding for their late mother. More info here. (Before you think about contributing, I would consider possible NCAA violations. I do not know if that is against the rules but just putting the warning out there.)
- Seastrunk stood out in the recent 7-on-7 at Texas. He caught a 30 yard touchdown pass. I will say yes, Seastrunk was wearing a LSU shirt and USC sweatbands but says they do not indicate anything. Just dispelling rumors before they take flight.
- DeMarco Cobbs has eliminated Auburn from his list of leaders.
- I will hopefully be posting a conversation with LaDarius Owens and a projecting signing class soon. I would like to stress how early it is in the process so my projections should not be considered sure things. They are just players I have a good feeling about.

Saturday Night Update

Catch Up
- Hey guys...took the weekend off. I will usually try and post a couple of things a day but just didn't today.
- Jeffrey Whitaker plans to visit July 18th. I've heard rumors that the next big recruiting event could either come this weekend or that weekend (of the 18th). He has no top schools but Tracy Rocker is helping us stay high on his board.
- It appears that Tim Jackson will want to go to Auburn for one of his official visits.
- 2009 UNC signee and old Auburn target Johnnie Farms did not qualify and will go to Hargrave Military. This could end up as good news for Auburn. The new staff hardly got to recruit Farms and we were still one of his top teams. Maybe the staff can try and steal him.
- Marcus Lattimore says he has no favorite and he wants to take all five of his official visits.
- DeMarco Cobbs says he is leaning toward USC right now. He wants to trim his top 10 down to a top 5 soon.
- Arkansas dismissed second string linebacker Khiry Battle after a weekend of drunk driving. I cannot see this affecting us really but just thought I would add that.
- Roy Finch has committed to Oklahoma.
- Jay Tate says as far as he knows, Cameron Henderson and Philip Pierre-Louis are in good standing with the team.
- More a little later on.

More Notes
- Nigel Terrell now has a top three of Auburn, Arkansas and Florida State. He recently was listed as on the ESPNU 150 Watch List.
- DeMarco Cobbs recently named his top eight. They are Auburn, USC, Georgia, Alabama, Florida, Tennessee, Oklahoma and Texas.
- Tyrone Cornileus recently said he will announce at the end of the month. Today his top three were announced as Miami, South Carolina and Georgia Tech.

Two Recruiting Notes
- Four star receiver Jeremy Richardson says that the Tiger Prowl solidified Auburn as his number one. However, he still plans to wait out the recruiting process and not commit to anyone too early.
- Four star athlete DeMarco Cobbs named Auburn to his top 10. Others on the list include: Arizona, Alabama, Oklahoma, USC, FSU, Florida, LSU, Georgia and Tennessee. The Oklahoma native says that location has zero affect on his decision. He projects to play receiver at the next level.

Notes For Monday
I did not really have time to update last night with regards to practice. I will include a few notes in here:
- As reported by just about every other site, Eltoro Freeman was working as first team will linebacker ahead of Spencer Pybus. Freeman had been working with second team at sam linebacker.
- Marcus Jemison has moved from safety to linebacker. He told the Press-Register he is happy with the change. He will play sam.
- Still no movement in competition for the starting quarterback position.
- Corey Grant was not spotted at practice. I reported he would be in attendance but it is not clear if he was.
- Defensive end Antoine Carter left practice with a leg injury. He is day to day.
- 2009 recruit Quay Moncrief was at practice and plans to walk on in the fall.
- D.J. Howard described his visit as "terrific" and he loved it. I believe Howard is very underrated due to injuries and could see him wanting to come to Auburn. Just a hunch.
- One of the many 2010 running back targets, Storm Johnson, has named LSU as his early favorite. He also named FSU, USC, UF, Oklahoma, Auburn and Tennessee as "in the mix".
- Target DeMarco Cobbs named Southern Cal as his early favorite.
- Running back recruit Terrance Martin plans to camp at Auburn. He will also attend camps at Alabama, Tennessee and Ole Miss. He does not currently list any offers.
