Chris Todd has been named starter! More to come...

  1. Great news! Hearing Kodi gave an "inspirational" speach to the team. I see Tyrik NOT red-shirting. Beav, any other word on Freeman's injury?

  2. There's a mistake. I think Rollison will be the starter by the end of the year. Although I think that if Ray Cotton would have stay committed I think he would be the starter.

  3. I'm a little uneasy about this...

What's this I hear about a speach from kodi?

  4. I'm all about Chris Todd. I believe that Malzahn sees a great QB in him and he's smart and knows the system. Just look at the two senior QB's at Tulsa that he molded and they had unbelievable numbers! WDE!

  5. Don't know if Kodi spoke or not... heard that Bo stopped by and gave an inspirational speach... maybe that's what y'all were hearing about

  6. todd's been given an unfair bad rep.

everyone talks about how kodi shouldnt be judged because the offense was all awful last year..what about todd? he's been labeled as franklin's pet, but you didnt see him transfer when otis got tossed.

not to mention todd played injured last year to boot. everyone lauds kodi as a huge athletic potential based on his high school career, while todd holds the KY state record for passing yards.

i'm not saying todd is the next peyton manning, but i think he more than deserves another shot at this thing.

i'm happy with the decision, and hopefully this will provide some stability coming into the year and this way the team can know who to look to as the offensive leader.

  7. Okay I dont wana knock Todd. I think he is a great kid. I do not however think he has the talent to take this team where it needs to go and I think the choice of him should lead people to hope for less this year like an offense that hopefully doesnt beat itself and a lucky for 8 win season. I have been very optomistic but unless there have been some major changes on a deeper level than his shoulder is stronger we are in for a possible long season. I dont like the move of Kodi to the slot, I think we have players there I would like to see him at safety, we are low and QB to safety seems to work out pretty well. I worry that he will never make it back onto the feild again and he deserves a real shot at playing if he isnt the QB then lets get him to a position he can win meaningful playing time at, otherwise his time and a scholarship are wasted. I know that Todd had a great high school career but last year it wasnt just that he couldnt hit 30 yards it was the fact he couldnt stop trying and take the open play. Our OL will have to seriously play better and our running backs should return to form and be workhorses. They are putting a lot up for grabs here and I hope it works out. Okay now that the crying is over War Eagle, Chris Todd you have a second chance take it.

  8. Kodi has never played defense in his life and you want him to all of a sudden learn how to play the safety position well enough to be able to see playing time? Not gonna happen! Trust the coaches! They know what they're doing!
