- Nigel Terrell is set to make his decision on Thursday. He is expected to pick between Ole Miss and Florida State. I see the Seminoles in his future.
- Jeffrey Whitaker plans to make an unofficial visit to Auburn on September 19th for the West Virginia game. He plans to make an official following that. A decision is not expected until after the season.
- An offensive lineman to keep your eyes on is Tristan Hardin. He believes Auburn is close to offering.
- Shon Coleman says he will still take official visits to other schools. His offer list continues to grow.
- Chase Hughes nearly committed to Ole Miss over the weekend but decided to think about it and wait it out.

I still dont quite understand why we didnt offer Nigel. I mean, we're about to rely on walk-ons for depth at the LB position. I'd think we need more than 4 LBs for this 2010 class.
ReplyDeleteI like Hardin's size, strength and speed. If his grades are ok, I hope we offer. I'd be pleasantly surprised if Coleman actually signs with us in Feb. And Chase Hughes is just a strange situation to me. Kid is a proclaimed AU fan at a position that AU desperately needs. Yet, he almost signs with Ole Miss?
Beav Chase has a committable offer from us right?
I was under the impression that Chase Hughes was a strong Auburn lean, but I guess a visit can change things.
ReplyDeleteOnly 3 linebackers are on the field at one time, and we already have 3 firm commitments. We are also holding a spot for Ladarius Owens or C.J. Mosely.
Chase Hughes DOES NOT have a committable Auburn offer.
ReplyDeleteWell I guess that would explain it then!
ReplyDeletewhy in the world doesn't he?? i guess we just have too many offensive linemen that he couldnt be an asset???
ReplyDeleteJust because you need offensive linemen doesn't mean you take the first 5 guys that will commit.
ReplyDeleteThe obvious answer is that they dont feel he is good enough to have a committable offer right now.
Coleman will probably go elsewhere, unless we have an awesome season. Chase Hughes, I thought I read he was the weight lifting champ of the state or something. That sounds good to me. I really thought we'd lock him up.
ReplyDeleteNigel Terrell committed to the Florida State Criminoles today I believe.
ReplyDeleteYea Nigel did commit to Free Shoes Univ. I heard on the radio that he had (what I interpreted as) a solid offer early but after we got the LBs that we did, his offer became conditional.
ReplyDeleteI still think we need more than four in this class. Yea only 3 on the field at a time but we have walk-ons playing 2nd team now. If two of our starter go down, this D could be toast. Besides without good back-ups, who can push the 2nd team O to get better??
