Agree. Todd is the logical choice for immediate play. Train the rookies up and then one of them might be able to drive the ship during the season in case Todd's shoulder blows up.
Does anybody really think an incoming freshman, who will be starting college level classes for the first time, will be able to learn 20-30 plays PLUS the reads in time for the first game? Anyone. Bueller?
All bets on Caudle. Lord help us if its Todd.
ReplyDeleteTodd looks great since his surgery...
ReplyDeleteCaudle said that in the scrimmage he had one 3 & out and the other drive was an INT. That's what I saw from him in practices last year.

ReplyDeleteI'd take any of them but Todd. And that includes Barrett Trotter if he is able to play this year.
ReplyDeleteI think Todd will surprise everyone this year...but thats just me I will stop defending him ha and try not to be biased...
ReplyDeleteGotta be Todd. Tie-Rick as the backup - let him get some game experience in mop up duty so he'll be ready to take over the team next year.

ReplyDeleteIt's HAS been done before you know, KungFu! Just ask Baylor, Va Tech, and Ohio St. last year!
ReplyDeleteDaniel, I understand. So that's 3 out of 120. Just going with the odds.
ReplyDeleteThose three were highly exceptional. We might have a guy who can work in by game four if needed. I will give you that.
Other thing, though. We play a fairly easy set the first four or five. Then we get into the SEC teams. Just sayin'
