Billings

Chizik says the Montez Billings situation is "out of (his) hands" hinting that it is up to the University. He expects that decision within days.

  1. i must have forgotten what his "problem" even is at this point...is it an academic situation?

  2. This is bizarre. How can it be an academic situation if he's already graduated?

  3. I don't know if we will ever know exactly what it is...

  5. if someone graduates, do they have to enter grad school to stay eligible for football? or can they just take a bunch of random classes?

  6. Obviously not an academic situation since he has graduated. Taylor said it was Chizik's decision. Chizik says, "It's in someone else's hands."

From this I would conclude that the someone else's hands are the very hands of Montez Billings. Just speculating here, but if no one is willing to come out and say what the problem is, then you can bet it is some type of disciplinary issue. Chizik isn't going to broadcast it to the media, but will keep it in house so as not to throw Billings under the bus and embarass him. Hopefully, he will be able to prove himself and do what ever it is that Chizik expects of him - if he doesn't, he won't play this year, and you're right, we'll never know. If it was an academic issue, Billings would have explained it to someone and they would have come foreward.

Now, who can explain what the deal is/was with Gabe McKenzie?
