Rumor: Former OC Interviews at MTSU

FootballScoop.com is reporting that former offensive coordinator Tony Franklin has interviewed with Rick Stockstill's staff at Middle Tennessee State.

Franklin left Troy at the end of the 2007 season to be offensive coordinator at Auburn. Franklin was fired from Auburn on October 8, 2008 after a slow start. Auburn had faded in most offensive categories in the Football Bowl Subdivision.

Franklin was a running back at Murray State in the 1970's. He later heled various positions in the Kentucky coaching staff as wide receivers coach, running backs coach and offensive coordinator. Along with his coaching at Troy, he also was the head coach of the af2 team Lexington Horsemen in 2003.
