Cooper To Consider Grayshirt Offer

Two star dual threat quarterback and athlete Robert Cooper is considering taking a grayshit offer from Auburn. The 6'4", 200 lb. athlete played quarterback at Daphne (AL) his senior year. His junior and sophomore year he mostly played wide receiver and safety.

A grayshirt is a scholarship offer but would mean he would be able to enroll at Auburn in January, 2010. He plans to visit this huge recruiting weekend. He currently also has full ride offers from UAB and South Alabama. He has told AuburnSports.com that his decision will be between a scholarship to UAB and the grayshirt offer from Auburn.

Cooper is also curious which position he will play. He is listed as a dual-threat quarterback and has stated that would like to pursue playing quarterback but is also open to any position that Auburn feels would be best for him and the team.

Rivals lists his 40 yard dash time as 4.52, a bench press max of 300 lb. and squat of 450 lb. He also has good academics with a 3.5 GPA and 27 on the ACT.
