Confirmed: Ryan Durst Leaves Auburn

Auburn punter Clinton Durst has left Auburn and does not plan to return after not being offered a scholarship for the spring semester. Former coach Tommy Tuberville had promised Durst a scholarship but new coach Gene Chizik's staff reportedly has not extended one.

Durst will reportedly take out a part time job to pay his way through college. Durst did not even play high school football but won the starting punting job this fall. He ranked third in the SEC in punting this season and 26th in the nation.
