Brewton (AL) W. S. Neal four star defensive tackle Jamar Travis will visit the Plains this weekend according to Rivals.com. Travis is currently committed to Southern Miss. The 6'1", 298 lb. defensive lineman also has shown great interest in Auburn. He has shown signs that he may also visit Troy or UAB.
Travis is ranked the 29th best defensive tackle in the country by Rivals and 31st by Scout who has him ranked as a three star. Scout ranks his strengths as backside pursuit, intensity/effort and quickness off the ball, stating that he has a great first step. He also has offers from Alabama, Florida State, Georgia Tech, Memphis, Oregon, UAB and Clemson.
Joining Travis this coming weekend are four star dual threat quarterback Tyrik Rollison, linebackers Petey Smith and DeDe Lattimore, former running back commitment LaDarius Perkins and three current commitments, among others.
