Notes For Monday

I did not really have time to update last night with regards to practice. I will include a few notes in here:

• As reported by just about every other site, Eltoro Freeman was working as first team will linebacker ahead of Spencer Pybus. Freeman had been working with second team at sam linebacker.
• Marcus Jemison has moved from safety to linebacker. He told the Press-Register he is happy with the change. He will play sam.
• Still no movement in competition for the starting quarterback position.
• Corey Grant was not spotted at practice. I reported he would be in attendance but it is not clear if he was.
• Defensive end Antoine Carter left practice with a leg injury. He is day to day.
• 2009 recruit Quay Moncrief was at practice and plans to walk on in the fall.
• D.J. Howard described his visit as "terrific" and he loved it. I believe Howard is very underrated due to injuries and could see him wanting to come to Auburn. Just a hunch.
• One of the many 2010 running back targets, Storm Johnson, has named LSU as his early favorite. He also named FSU, USC, UF, Oklahoma, Auburn and Tennessee as "in the mix".
• Target DeMarco Cobbs named Southern Cal as his early favorite.
• Running back recruit Terrance Martin plans to camp at Auburn. He will also attend camps at Alabama, Tennessee and Ole Miss. He does not currently list any offers.
