Wednesday Notes

  • Four star wide receiver Antonio Goodwin made his second visit to Auburn this weekend for the scrimmage. Goodwin says he likes to coaches and facilities. He says he does not have any favorites but is looking "hard" at Auburn.
  • Auburn's athletics director Jay Jacobs turned down an offer to play in the opening game of the season for 2010 in the Georgia Dome. Auburn turned down an offer to play against UCLA citing a full schedule. Jacobs did offer to play them in the 2012 season. Auburn has a prior arrangement with Arkansas State to open the season.
  • Here is the scoring system:
  • Offense: 6 points for touchdown, 3 for field goal, 2 for a play of 15+ yards, 2 for three consecutive first downs, 1 for an extra point.
  • Defense: 7 points for a touchdown, 5 for a turnover, 4 for a sack, 3 for a blocked field goal, 2 for a three and out, 2 for a tackle for loss, 1 for blocked PAT.
  • Game will be televised on CSS. Game will have four twelve minute quarters.

  • Four star defensive end Anthony Williams told AuburnUndercover that he is "high" on Auburn and that they are at the top of his list.
