Sunday Recruiting Notes

Yesterday was a busy day in Auburn football but it was also the Alpha Psi Rodeo so you understand the lack of quality updates right? If you know the rodeo you know what I mean. Here are some notes:
  • Top in-state linebacker LaDarius Owens has narrowed his choices to Auburn and Alabama. I like Auburn to win this guy. Owens has family ties to Auburn and he says he wants to have a decision soon. He is also close to Jake Holland who committed yesterday and Owens says that seriously helps.
  • Four star defensive tackle Jeffrey Whitaker picked up an offer on his visit to the Plains this weekend. Whitaker says he has no favorites at all but "Auburn's on the map".
  • Cornerback Darius Robinson has said that Auburn is now his favorite. He and Westlake teammate Michael Taylor visited this weekend. Robinson does not currently have an offer from Auburn.
  • Safety Davin Hawkins visited Auburn for the third time this weekend. While calling Auburn "top notch", he says he plans to wait until National Signing Day to decide.
  • Four star offensive tackle James Stone (Number 36 on the Rivals 100) visited Auburn this weekend. He has also visited Vanderbilt, Alabama and Tennessee. He says the visit definitely put Auburn on his radar. Linemen is Auburn's top priority.
