- Eltoro Freeman is "really close" and I think he will likely play this weekend against Mississippi State. The linebacker wanted to play yesterday but the medical staff held him out. Chizik says not to worry that Freeman was not on the sideline.
- Nosa Equae will likely be out until the Ball State game.
- Chizik says Zach Clayton is close to returning from an undisclosed injury.
- Chizik says the punt return position is back wide open. Mario Fannin and Anthony Gulley combined for -6 yards.
