yeah its all good i was just wondering if something had come up about them. virginia, a&m, and memphis would be my 3..and if miami tanks this year maybe them.
I didn't pick other but I wanted to comment anyway. Personally, I think Tubs is worn out a little bit and I think he'll go somewhere smaller. I also don't know how big of a candidate he is for some of the top jobs. Especially since he has been noted as saying he wanted to bring the old band back together. I think Memphis might end up being an ideal spot for him. Not as much pressure. Not as much of a recruiting area. You never know....
Tuberville will only be at Texas A&M as a Defensive Coordinator and that isn't happening. Mike Sherman is making solid progress at Texas A&M right now and they will definitely not be cutting him loose before Tuberville picks up another position.
yea i don't see Texas A&M firing mike sherman just yet. Virginia on the other hand has already lost to Richmond and Duke if i'm not mistaken. They are definitely going to be in the market for a new coach by the end of the season and Tubbs makes a perfect fit.
Tommy Tuberville averaged E-I-G-H-T wins a year for T-E-N years at a powerhouse S-E-C school, including an U-N-D-E-F-E-A-T-E-D season, and you guys really think that the best he can do is probably the worst team, Virginia, in the weakest conference there is? He probably makes more still from us plus his appearances on ESPN and such than he would at UVa!
Listening to the comments he keeps making on Buster Sports, Tubbs still has a desire to get back to coaching. It would not suprise me to see him at Notre Dame(my pick), but the ACC fits his eye. He really is more comfortable with the defense being the strength, and could end up at Maryland, or Virginia if they can pony up the cash. With CTT's record, we will find out who really wants to win, and win now by obtaining his services.
i agree he won't be settling for a team that has historically been in the basement in a basement conference. it would be awesome if he coached at oregon or something though - somewhere far away - i would weep for a full week if he ever had to coach against us.
Wish the best for Tubbs and his family but I am really not concerned where he will coach next. Unless he gets motivated again, he'll crash and burn wherever he ends up.
My Guess......Jet gate all over again. Except this time the rolse are reversed. Tubs is gonna be coaching at Arkansas!
ReplyDeleteRoles...sorry for the typo
ReplyDeleteTexas A&M
ReplyDeleteI do like him to go to A&M
ReplyDeletePossibly Memphis
ReplyDeleteNot Memphis, TT will go to a team with a storied program and the resources to make the team a BCS caliber team.
ReplyDeleteVirginia is a great fit. Manageable expectations. Schedule isn't that hard. I think he wins a couple ACC championships and rides out the way he wants.
ReplyDeleteyeah, why isnt A&M in the poll? i thought that was one of the more talked about options for tubs..
ReplyDeleteI went too quick and accidently left a few off...now I cannot edit it without starting over...thats why I posted this...

ReplyDeleteTexas A&M. I think he fits in the best there and Sherman ain't gonna last long.

ReplyDeleteIt's not that he can't do any better, I just think he wants a more relaxed atmosphere. I guess Virginia, but I dunno.

ReplyDeleteHonestly, does anyone really care where he goes? I say he goes to the house. Just glad he's not driving to Auburn anymore!
