UA, Auburn Share Bid For HS State Championships

Auburn and the University of Alabama are sharing a big to host the high school state championships. The current host is Birmingham, having them through 2009. Auburn and Alabama would alternate hosting the Alabama high school football and basketball state championships. Alabama would use Bryant-Denney Stadium and Coleman Coliseum while Auburn would use Jordan Hare Stadium and Beard-Eaves Coliseum along with the new Auburn basketball arena that is currently in construction. Auburn would host football in 2010 and 2012 while hosing basketball in 2011 and 2013.
