The Press-Register is reporting that punter Clinton Durst is back with the Auburn team after leaving last month. Durst was the third best punter in the SEC and 26th nationally last year as a walk-on. Durst reportedly left the team after he was not given the scholarship that Tommy Tuberville's staff had promised him.
Durst had never even played organized football before last season but was a talented high school soccer player. Durst beat out returning punter Ryan Shoemaker last year but now the two look to compete for the starting job for the 2009 season.
Did we give him a scholarship?
