Former OC Lands On His Feet
Former Auburn offensive coordinator Tony Franklin has accepted the offensive coordinator job at Middle Tennessee State University. Franklin's exciting spread offense seemed to work for Auburn early on in the 2008 Chic Fil-A Bowl. However, after the first six games of the 2008 season, the Tigers' offense ranked 104th nationally. On October 8, 2008, Franklin was fired by Auburn and tight ends coach Steve Ensminger took over the play calling.
