Punter Commits!

Steven Clark has committed to Auburn. The two star punter is Auburn's 18th commitment for 2010. Clark, out of Kansas City, Missouri, had offers from Iowa and Purdue. He and fellow Auburn kicker commitment Cody Parkey finished 1 and 2 at the Jamie Cole Kicking Camp.

    Saw on ESPN he is ranked 79 3 Star - another 1/2 point and he's a 4*

    man, two kickers on scholarship? and we can only sign 28? i realize good special teams can win games, but we have some serious depth issues to figure out - i guess all we can do is assume they've got that figured out - sure hope so anyway.

    if we're under total scholly's can we not get more than 28 to fill roster - I thought the 28 was so you wouldn't turn away 7 other guys that you told could play - I thought if your short on people you can add leftovers to this years [shrugs shoulders]

    he is a punter not a kicker. Durst is a senior and Shoemaker is a junior so we need a punter.

    We can only admit 25. We can sign 28 but the remaining 3 are for nonqualifiers who are sent to JUCO or prep.

    Note that Sanders will enroll in January so he will count towards 2009 numbers.

    We can sign 28 if 3 sign early and count toward the 2009 class. That could be JUCO or HS players. Joel Bonomolo will try to enroll early as will Lache Seastrunk if he commits to us.
