Stars Released, Auburn Stays Consistently 3 Star

I will live blog this one as I get more information.  Athlete rankings coming out soon (as in the next couple of minutes).
  • Commitments Shon Coleman and Cody Parkey have been given three stars each.  Coleman is ranked the 27th offensive lineman in the country.  Parkey was named the number 5 kicker in the country.
  • Jake Holland comes in at the number 9 inside linebacker in the nation and is given three stars.
  • Shaun Kitchens keeps with the three star Auburn trend.  He is the number 34 athlete in the nation.
  • Barry Brunetti was ranked the number one dual threat qb.  Roy Finch is the number 3 all purpose back.  
  • Trovon Reed is ranked the second best wide receiver in the nation.  Markeith Ambles comes in at 7.  Jeremy Richardson comes in at number 26 at receiver.
  • Brian Vogler came in at the number 6 tight end.  He has four stars.
  • Damien Robinson came in at the number ten offensive tackle.  
  • J.C. Copeland was given four stars and comes in at the number 18 weakside defensive end.  Tank Sessions was given three stars and comes in at 27.  Anthony Williams came in at number 18 in the strongside defensive ends and has four stars.
  • Jawara White is the number 28 outside linebacker in the nation.  He is three stars.  Tyrone Cornileus is also three stars and number 36.  Nigel Terrell made the top 50 at number 48 and three stars.  
  • DeMarcus Milliner is the top corner back.  Ryan Ayers came in at number 15 and four stars. He has Auburn as his top school.  Jonathan Mincy came in at number 25 and three stars.  
  • Alec Ogletree came in as the top safety.  Jarrick Williams came in at number 4 with four stars.

  5. Bovine - there are articles from time to time on various sports sites that almost always point out that ratings of HS players are pretty poor predictors of college or pro success. Just one this morning noted that the 5-star prospects from 2005, if i recall the year correctly, were more than twice as likely to be arrested has drafted in the first round. Seems to me star rating is a good indicator of felonious behavior.
