Another Former Player In Trouble, Thursday Notes

  • First off I would like to state that finals are over so I will be more focused on the site.
  • Former Auburn player Leonardo Carson has been ordered to jail pending drug charges.  Carson is charged with intent to distribute more than 50 grams of crack cocaine, five kilograms of cocaine and 20 kilograms of marijuana from 2004 to last August.
  • Deshler athlete Deion Belue has named Auburn as his leader.  He will likely play defensive back in college.  Other offers include Alabama, South Alabama, Georgia Southern and Southern Miss.  He says he will wait a while before committing anywhere.
  • MrSEC.com named Tyrik Rollison as the second biggest impact freshman quarterback in the SEC.
  • Gus Malzahn and Alabama offensive coordinator Jim McElwain are among the hosts of the Wade Office Equiptment Football Preview at South Alabama's Mitchell Center on May 28.
  • Mark Richard, a senior associate athletics director, is leaving Auburn to take the athletics director spot at Gannon University in Erie, PA.
