Catch Up Post

Sorry again I hope you all did not give up on me!  Very unexpected trip to the mountains.  From now on I will post before I do anything like that.
  • Big time target J.C. Copeland has committed to Tennessee.  Copeland named Auburn his leader just a week or two ago.
  • DeAngelo Benton has reported to Auburn which looks like it puts down the Arkansas rumors.  He told Rivals that he is the happiest man in the world right now.
  • Three star Hoover defensive tackle Jeremiah Jackson has named Auburn and Ole Miss as his leaders.
  • Ted Roof visited Anthony Williams' practice last week.
  • Four star 2009 commitment Reggie Taylor will go to JUCO this season at Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College.  Eltoro Freeman went there last year.  Because of this, Robert Cooper has been offered his scholarship.
  • Craig Sanders has committed to Alabama.  That is all I will say about that.  Not too happy about that one.
  • Auburn has offered Vic Beasley.  He is son of former Auburn defensive back Victor Beasley (1982-84).  He also has an offer from East Carolina.
  • West Virginia commitment Jessel Curry is reportingly looking at Auburn since receiving an offer.  Rivals lists him as an outside backer but I see him at fullback a lot of places.
  • Gene Chizik's contract offer has been released.  Page 1 and page 2. $1.9 million, nice.
  • Mack Brown told Auburn Undercover that Auburn "stands at the top".  I do not take that as Auburn as an absolute leader.  Probably just a top choice right now.
  • Solomon Patton has named his favorites at Florida, Alabama, Southern Miss and Ole Miss.
  • That's all I have got for now.

  6. Also, I just saw that Lane Kiffin reported himself regarding Copeland. I do not get this whole Twitter thing but apparently his Twitter had something regarding J.C. Copeland committing and you are not allowed to speak about a player publicly until he signs a letter of intent. Just a little tidbit of info.
