Benton Cleared By NCAA

2009 signee DeAngelo Benton has been cleared by the NCAA Clearinghouse according to the Bastrop Daily Enterprise.  He will enroll in summer classes on May 18.  The article also states that he will wear number 5 at Auburn.

    He wasn't JUCO, he went to prep school, then took a year off to focus on qualifying. He will come in as a freshman.

    I think this is the biggest sign of the 2009 class. Benton will be a game changer from Day 1...I only worry that he might not have enough help at the opposite WR position to take the defensive focus off himself. War Damn!
