This is a complete mystery to me! It's well known that TT has indicated that they want to stay with the spread (an offense that Tubs doesn't like and doesn't understand) and he would certainly not be a good fit for that. He had a good spread man at Auburn and fired him to keep his BBQ gang of 3 yards and a cloud of dust offense. Moreover, he wouldn't cooperate with Franklin and neither would his staff.
heard Tubbs talking to the guys on Jox this a.m. about his interview. sounded like he was full steam ahead looking to land it. i really feel like ruffin mcneill will get the job, and that he deserves it and would do awesome there. if they didn't have such an awesome candidate in mcneill, i think Tubbs would get it.
Ears was on DallasESPN103.3 radio today selling his used cars (you can probably get the podcast there also). Dude can definitely "sling the hash" and suck up to the media, but he ain't gonna be a head coach again. (BTW, he didn't reference Auburn once, although the radio hosts played up that aspect of his career). FYI

ReplyDeleteTubbs doesn't get another head coaching gig at any level above NCAA FCS. Mark it down.
