New Newton Date

Steve Robertson of Scout.com is reporting that Newton will announce on New Years Eve. He says he received a phone call from Newton's father who says that nothing else will come from the family until that day. Robertson covers Mississippi State for Scout.

    Yeah I wouldn't put too much stock in it being a Mississippi State dude that got the call. It may mean something but I'm sure that the Newton's all know that Auburn will be the best place for Cam. If he goes to Miss State then we will hit him in the mouth.

    This also could be good news for us because of our Jan 1st bowl game. We get a commitment from Cam the night before and then on to the bowl will help us with a lot of publicity. Who knows? lol

    I don't see it that way. The fact that he has delayed a decision after supposedly being "blown away" by his Auburn visit, IMO doesn't bode well for us. I could be wrong though.

    I trust these coaches and they are great recruiters. I'm sure we get this kid. Cam should know how bad MSU's OL is and also who has the best WR's. It's us.
